- Prepare: Place a paper filter in the filter holder of the Moccamaster and rinse it with hot water to remove any paper taste. This also helps to preheat the filter holder.
- Add coffee: Put the ground coffee in the filter. A general guideline is to use 60 grams coffee per liter water. Adjust the amount based on your personal taste and the capacity of your Moccamaster.
- Add water: Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water. The Moccamaster has a transparent reservoir with measurement markings to make it easy to add the correct amount of water.
- Brew the coffee: Turn the Moccamaster on and let the device do its work. The copper heating element will quickly heat the water to the ideal temperature of 92-96°C and spray the water evenly over the ground coffee. The entire process takes approximately 4-6 minutes, depending on the amount of water.
- Wait and serve: Once the brewing process is completed, the Moccamaster will automatically turn off. Remove the filter with the used coffee and stir the coffee in the carafe to guarantee an even taste. Pour the freshly brewed coffee into your cups.
